Privacy Policy

Privacy first. Hybrid Tracker is designed with your privacy as a priority. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data on our servers. All information you enter in the app stays on your device and your personal iCloud account.

1. Overview

Hybrid Tracker is a vehicle management app that helps users track fuel consumption, charging sessions, costs, and efficiency for Gas, Electric, and Hybrid vehicles. The app is built with Apple's SwiftData framework and uses iCloud for syncing data across your devices.

This Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Hybrid Tracker does not:

Collect personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
Use analytics or tracking SDKs
Send your data to any third-party server
Use cookies or web tracking technologies
Display advertisements
Share or sell your data to anyone

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following information locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account (if iCloud is enabled):

Vehicle information: brand, model, license plate, color, vehicle category (car/motorcycle), and energy type (gas/electric/hybrid)
Refueling and charging records: date, quantity (litres or kWh), odometer reading, total cost, gas type (regular/mid/premium), and optional notes
Receipt photos: images captured by the camera are stored locally on the device
Saved locations: name, latitude, and longitude of refueling or charging stations
User preferences: fuel unit, distance unit, currency, and display settings

This data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework and is synced via iCloud when enabled. Apple manages the iCloud infrastructure, and your data is protected by Apple's privacy and security policies.

4. Camera Access

The app requests camera permission solely to allow you to photograph receipts and attach them to refueling or charging records. Photos are stored locally on the device as part of the record data. No images are uploaded to any server.

5. Location Access

The app may request "When In Use" location permission to help you save the location of refueling or charging stations. Location data is stored only when you explicitly choose to save a location to a record. The app does not track your location in the background.

Location saving is a Pro feature. If you do not subscribe to Pro, the app does not request location permission.

6. In-App Purchases

Hybrid Tracker offers optional Pro subscriptions (monthly and yearly) through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or transaction details.

7. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

Apple iCloud: for syncing your vehicle and record data across your devices. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Apple StoreKit: for managing in-app subscription purchases. Governed by Apple's terms.
Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze: the app can open these mapping services for directions to saved locations. No data is shared with these services; only the coordinates you choose to navigate to are passed.

8. Data Security

All data is stored locally or in your iCloud account, which is encrypted by Apple. The app does not transmit data over the internet to any server other than iCloud. We follow Apple's security best practices to ensure the integrity of the app.

9. Children's Privacy

Hybrid Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

10. Your Rights

Since all data is stored on your device and your iCloud account, you have full control over it at all times. You can:

View, edit, or delete any vehicle or record within the app
Delete all app data by uninstalling the app
Manage iCloud data through your device's Settings > iCloud
Revoke camera or location permissions at any time in Settings

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised date. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
